Tests are conducted after installation, before commissioning the facility, after major repairs, and as part of scheduled preventive inspections. Before measurements, the equipment is completely disconnected from the power grid and prepared for testing.
✔ prepare the electrical installation for measurements;
✔ test the insulation resistance between cable cores, phases, neutral, and ground conductors in accordance with regulatory requirements;
✔ record the results and compare them with established standards;
✔ identify areas with degraded insulation characteristics, if any;
✔ prepare a technical report and prepare all necessary as-built documentation.
The obtained values allow an objective assessment of the condition of the electrical equipment and confirm its safe operation. If any discrepancies are detected, specialists indicate the causes of the decrease in insulation resistance and provide recommendations for correcting the identified defects.
Upon completion of the tests, the customer is provided with an insulation resistance measurement report containing information about the facility, a list of measurements taken, the equipment used, the actual test results, and a conclusion on the electrical installation’s compliance with current regulatory requirements.
